Deborah Newland: Experienced Attorney, Government Policy Expert and Corporate Development Executive Joins Firm

Jacksonville, Florida and Kingston, Jamaica – 24 March 2021 – Kirchner Group, a boutique advisory, merger & acquisition, operational support and asset management firm, today announced that Deborah Newland has joined the firm as a Senior Advisor. Based in Kingston, Jamaica, Ms. Newland will focus on bringing the entire suite of Kirchner Group’s services and talent to the Caribbean region.  This includes leveraging synergies based on Kirchner’s experience and expertise and the regional focus on food security, enterprise development and healthcare. Deborah’s formidable credentials will enhance Kirchner Group’s service offerings in other parts of the world as well.

Deborah’s breadth and depth of expertise further enhance Kirchner Group’s unique platform bringing over 25 years of relevant experience.  Deborah is an Attorney-at-Law with 27 years in practice. She serves as the General Manager for Logistics and Corporate Development with responsibility for Corporate Strategy for the Development Bank of Jamaica and was formally Chief of Staff to the Prime Minister of Jamaica for 3 years prior. In addition to her litigation experience, she holds or has held numerous senior strategic level roles, both in the public and private sector, ranging from Chairing and serving on Boards of large Government entities to management, advisory and operational positions.

Deborah’s expertise, experience and deep understanding of bilateral relationships in the region, make her uniquely positioned to support Kirchner Group’s activities. Her initiatives in the region will be supported by two senior consultants: Judith Street, a senior Commercial Attorney and Richard Chen a businessman with extensive Information and Communications Technology (ICT) and management background.

Deborah holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of the West Indies and Counsel of Legal Education (CLE) Certification from the Norman Manley Law School in Jamaica.
