The Kirchner Group is nearing completion of our corporate facilities near Birmingham, Alabama. This campus serves as our corporate headquarters, base of the Kirchner Food Fellowship Program as well as the home of the Christopher Douglas Hidden Angel Foundation. The Foundation is dedicated to enriching the lives of individuals with special needs. We have developed more than 15 acres in a natural setting we call “Tranquil Waters” that incorporates beautifully landscaped gardens, walking trails, and numerous ponds fronting on a picturesque freshwater lake.
Inukshuk, pronounced (in-ook-shook), is a stone monument erected in the image of humans. The Inukshuk symbolizes co-operation, navigation, balance and unselfishness; the idea that teaching and group effort is greater than individual effort. These structures are found from Alaska to Greenland. This Inukshuk is constructed at our corporate campus ‘Tranquil Waters’ in Alabama.
Tranquil Waters is ideally suited for accommodating our far flung team, partners and clients for working retreats away from the usual downtown distractions and sterile office environments.
For the children and families served by the Foundation, we have installed more than a mile of wheelchair trails and numerous multi-sensory stations in what we believe is the only outdoor facility of its kind in the world.
We take great pride in our efforts as a corporation and as individuals to share the fruits of our success with those with special needs. We believe Tranquil Waters reflects the values inherent to our corporate culture.
