Pete is a turnaround and operations leader with over 40 years of expertise. He has extensive experience as interim CEO/COO, advisor and board member for public and private companies in industries such as manufacturing, energy, chemicals, automotive, aerospace, defense and staffing.
Throughout his career Pete has worked with a blue chip client base including many leading Wall Street private equity firms to successfully integrate financial, strategic and operational perspectives to improve performance in their portfolio companies. Pete is an analytical and innovative problem solver yielding bottom line results.
Pete started out as a chemical engineer in DuPont’s Textile Department developing new processes and products including Kevlar. It was there where he learned managing by metrics and the importance of communication in a 24/7 environment. Subsequently he chose to operate in the company turnaround environment where he could apply the techniques of making team oriented rapid changes to stabilize distressed companies and generate predictive operational and financial results.
Pete has been involved in over 50 middle market companies and has been on numerous boards across a wide variety of sectors.
He has a BS in Chemical Engineering from Louisiana Tech University, a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Texas, an MBA in Finance from the University of Richmond and an MS in Organizational Behavior from Carnegie Mellon University.
