Birmingham, Alabama 22 May 2012 – Kirchner Private Capital Group (“KPCG” or the “Company”), a leading North American traditional merchant bank, today announced that it has enhanced its Health and Life Science Integrated Focus Areas with the addition of industry veteran Gary Robinson who joins KPCG as Managing Director and will be based in Zurich, Switzerland.

“The success of our business over the last twenty seven years has been predicated on our ability to bring unparalleled domain expertise to successfully execute client mandates,” said Bud Kirchner, Founder of KPCG. “The addition of Gary enhances our team, expands our geographic reach, and unquestionably positions KPCG as leaders in life science space. In addition, we believe that the ability to attract this type of world-class talent further validates our Integrated Focus Area model of pairing domain expertise with process expertise. This model brings together best-in class operators, transaction experts, and investors to solve the unique challenges of early and mid-market companies.”

Mr. Robinson joins KPCG with broad global experience in healthcare and in-depth knowledge of the medical device and pharmaceuticals subsectors including the radiology, interventional radiology, cardiology, oncology, peripheral vascular, nuclear medicine, automated blood transfusion, wound therapeutics, and ostomy markets. He has held senior roles at Coviden, Haemontics Corp, C. R. Bard, and Convatec having worked in the United States, Asia, Latin America, Africa, and Europe.

“As we focus increasingly on global health challenges and opportunities, Gary is an extremely important addition to our team,” said Dr. Patrick McNees, Managing Partner of KPCG Health and Life Science Integrated Focus Area. “His international experience, relationships, and expertise are particularly valuable assets that will result in an enhanced offering for our health and life science clients.”
