Michael is an operating executive with over 25 years of experience leading underperforming, highly challenged businesses through change to significant sales and profit growth. He was most recently President & CEO of Botaneco Corp, an emerging health sciences company where he integrated Botaneco with Advitech, Inc., developed and executed the strategic plan, consolidated operations, built an effective management team, grew its sales and marketing capability, improved manufacturing processes, raised new financing, acquired Natunola Health Biosciences, Inc., and fully commercialized the Company’s proprietary science-based technology.
Previously, he was a senior advisor to private equity firms seeking consumer products acquisitions, identifying underlying value and providing due diligence expertise. Mike was also VP/GM AGI Klearfold, a Meadwestvaco design and packaging supplier to the cosmetics and personal care industry. Earlier in his career, he served sixteen years at the Alberto Culver Company as President Latin America, President Canada and VP/GM Professional Division building businesses and brands including TRESemme, Alberto VO5, Alberto European, St. Ives, Sugar Twin, Mrs. Dash, TCB, Motions, Veritas and others.
In addition, Mike held general management, and sales and marketing positions with Beiersdorf USA, Purex Corporation, McNeil Laboratories and Kraft Foods. He received his BS from DePaul University School of Commerce and completed the University of Michigan Executive Program.
