Food security is defined by the U.N Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) as: Physical and economic access, at all times, to sufficient, safe and nutritious food to meet dietary needs and food preferences for an active and healthy life.

Established by The Kirchner Group and others, “The Food Security Group” (FSG) is tackling the growing issues and pursuing the global opportunities of global Food Security. FSG is comprised of a number of initiatives focusing on opportunities related to agricultural efficiency and food security solutions. Their objectives are:

  • Advance technologies and business models that contribute to global food security and long-term sustainability
  • Collaborate with universities, governments and NGOs on the commercial aspects of this issue
